Mike Johnson Delays Swearing In Adelita Grijalva to Block Final Signature On Epstein Petition

Source: Meidas Touch

House Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear in Representative-Elect Adelita Grijalva who won her race for the Arizona 7th Congressional District this week. Grijalva will be the 218th and final signature needed on a discharge petition to force a floor vote in the House on releasing the Epstein files.

Johnson is claiming he wants to wait until her election results are official, despite Grijalva’s dominant 40-point win and Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes certifying her victory. Johnson’s new standard of waiting for all the votes to be counted was not in place two weeks ago when he swore in Democrat James Walkinshaw of Virginia with unofficial results immediately after his victory. Johnson has also routinely sworn in Republicans the day after their race is called.

"I was looking at the example of now representative Walkinshaw from Virginia who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday," Grijalva said in an exclusive interview with MeidasTouch, "and that following Wednesday, less than 24 hours was sworn in. And with unofficial results, it literally says so in...the congressman who was introducing him, like, here's unofficial results, but it's not, not disputed, and it was approved without objection."

"So. For me, this Chicana from Tucson. Apparently the rules have now changed in two weeks and we're being asked for official results and, and there's conversations with our Secretary of State. So I'm sort of wondering why in two weeks the rules are so different and maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm number 218. I don’t know."

Along with his own (and everybody else's) if the new speaker does not swear him in. So basically: the shoe will absolutely be on the other foot.

If nobody is sworn in there will be no quorum to even hold an election for speaker. But of the majority of member elects are Democrstic, that quorum will already be set.

Been a more smug, arrogant, pretentious, sanctimonious, fake Jesus mug screaming for some one to smack the pig feces of it? Peacefully of course. No violence. And it is Jesus that is being taunted to do the smacking. If he is the example of who will be raptured, freakin let’s get on with it. Oh hell, lets help them, with a Few circus clown cannons or Musk and Bezos penis rockets and send them
All home. Now that would make America real freakin great.

... Weaseldick, when the tables are turned – and they will turn – your johnson, Mr. Johnson, is gonna be on the chopping block. Figuratively speaking, of course. Heh, heh, heh.
What a grotesquely dishonest and morally bankrupt creature you are. You're giving McConnell a run for his money, and I've read that he's so vile even his daughters despise him.

Oh, wait... Never mind. That's the Earhart files he suddenly wants to release. Apparently, millions of Americans are concerned about THOSE files.
