Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Chairman Bill Cassidy speaks on Capitol Hill, in Washington, September 17, 2025.
Senate Committee on Health, Education, ...

Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy, a Louisiana doctor who chairs the Senate health committee, is calling on the Department of Health and Human Services to release any evidence tying acetaminophen use during pregnancy to autism, noting that “the preponderance of evidence shows that this is not the case.”

“I understand and applaud President Trump’s desire to address this issue and to support HHS. HHS should release the new data that it has to support this claim. The preponderance of evidence shows that this is not the case,” he wrote Monday on X. “The concern is that women will be left with no options to manage pain in pregnancy. We must be compassionate to this problem.”

Vaccines are bad.

Drink bleach, take ivermectin or
hydroxychloroquine.

Autism that took place before Tylenol was invented, or Autism that happened with moms who didn't take Tylenol during pregnancy?

The boy’s mum didn’t take paracetamol whilst she was pregnant.
Must’ve been magic how he became autistic.

it's even more severe an issue than "compassion" (like R's have any of that for women in any way, form, or manner!). High fevers while pregnant can be devastating to a developing fetus. t's advice to forgo tylenol and just "tough it out" becomes more like "throw the baby out with the bath water" when you consider the fever factor while in utero.

a large number of subjects over an extended period like 5 to 10 years.

Maybe then I will believe there is a link.

This is pure BS based on the feeling that pregnant women need to suffer, 'suffering now will make you a better mother later, no tylenol for you' style.

I guess alcohol, pot, heroin, cocaine and ketamine might be safer options?

Cassidy had the power to table RFK Jr's nomination.

Up soon, will be Trump's surgeon general pick.

Casey Means is an ally of RFK Jr but does not hold an active medical license.

Look like that should be a requirement for the job.

She graduated from Stanford medical school but did not complete her residency,

She is called a wellness influencer.
