Members of the United Auto Workers are gauging interest in a strike at Volkswagen's plant in Chattanooga after the company last week delivered its final offer to the union.
A card circulated to workers by the local union asks them to print their name if they pledge to authorize the UAW bargaining committee to call for a strike, if needed, at Volkswagen Chattanooga.
"The company's time is up," the document declares. "Our time is now. STAND UP!
"Your UAW Volkswagen bargaining committee is recommending a YES vote on strike authorization with the full backing of the international union," it continues.

United Auto Workers held a bargaining kick-off rally at the Signal on Sept. 15, 2024. A pledge card recently circulated to workers indicates the union is gauging interest in a strike after Volkswagen delivered its final offer last week.
