(42,002 posts)Under trump, America will not defend NATO.
The last two times he issued drone strikes on Iran, which isn't in NATO, it retaliated.
The first time by hitting an Iraqi military base housing U.S. troops, where over 100 U.S. service members suffered traumatic brain injuries.
The second time by hitting two of Iran's nuclear facilities -- the success of which is much disputed -- Iran retaliated by hitting a US military base in Qatar -- no injury reports, which doesn't mean no injuries, of course, since he won't tell the truth to the public.
Twice he hasn't admitted to previously injured troops, but he did get a ceasefire.
So far NATO looks smart enough to command its airspace and take prisoners who'll be a source of useful intel.

"It says something about the times we live in and what we as a society must be prepared to deal with," Frederiksen told reporters.
Russian involvement could not be ruled out, Frederiksen added - although Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the allegations "unfounded".
The Danish PM made a link between last night's events in Denmark and the recent Russian drone incursions in Poland and Romania, as well as the violation of Estonian airspace by Russian fighter jets.
