The president got medical ahead of his major autism announcement.

...........................
Trump said vaccines can be great unless you put the wrong stuff in them.
Trump was speaking ahead of a Monday press conference where he suggested vaccine skeptic Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has found an answer to autism. Acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, is expected to be blamed.
Children get these massive vaccines like youd give to a horse
like youd give to a horse," he added.
And Ive said for a long time, I mean, this is no secret, spread them out over five years. Get five shots, small ones. You ever see what they get they get? I mean, for a little baby to be injected with that much fluid, even beyond the actual ingredients, they have sometimes 80 different vaccines in them. Its crazy..........

(3,360 posts)Donnie, the immune system doesn't work that way. Infectious diseases don't care if it's a baby. The baby has no immunity except what it is given. Our job is to protect them, isn't it?

(7,342 posts)Pretty sure soldiers get a lot of shots in a short period of time, but not eighty, surely.
He knows so little he just pulls numbers outta his ass. He does know a lot of his followers are dumb enough to believe him and never check actual sources.

(70,971 posts)Plus, we got overseas vaccines more than once. I got typhoid and some others when I was ordered to Germany. Hated it; hurt my arm like hell. Then had to get them again when we were deployed to the Gulf in 1991. I told the medic I had already had the typhoid shot. He said: "Well, you're getting it again."
It never would have occurred to me to refuse, or to disobey. So when I heard there were soldiers during COVID-19 who were refusing vaccination, I couldn't help but think they joined the wrong organization if they thought they could refuse orders.

(27,805 posts)The schedule of recommended pediatric vaccines, as of Aug 7 2025 on the DC site:
Birth thru 18 months - 10 vaccines protecting against 14 different illnesses (9 if the MMRV is used instead of MMR)
Protection against more diseases is available with many fewer antigens per vaccine. Here's a brief excerpt from a 2024 article by a peds infectious disease doc:
Todays expanded schedule protects against 16-18 diseases, but the total antigen count is about 165. Thats about a 95% reduction in antigen exposure, thanks to precision engineering that strips vaccines down to only the components necessary for protection.
Vaccine expert Paul Offit and colleagues calculated that a baby could theoretically respond to 10,000 vaccines simultaneously before using even one percent of circulating B-cells. The real-world schedule barely registers on the immune systems capacity.
Here's the whole article for those who might be interested: https://www.statnews.com/2025/06/24/too-many-too-soon-vaccine-schedule-children-antigens-immune-system-aluminum/
And the volume of fluid in each injection is miniscule - usually 0.5-1.0 cc/mL
And one more link discussing infant immune systems. They are not "weak" - babies are exposed to thousands of antigens the moment they are delivered from the uterine environment and handle most of them just fine. The vaccines are timed to protect them from those to which they are most vulnerable at these early ages: https://asm.org/articles/2024/september/baby-immune-systems-not-immature-just-different
I'm so glad I'm retired and don't have to argue this shit with antivax parents anymore.

(191 posts)Just because medical scientists studied these things for years doesn't mean they know anything, right? And yes, that's snark.
My doctor once told me our bodies are assaulted by viruses all the time. Combining vaccines is not a strain on the body at all. The notion is just plain ignorant.

(2,854 posts)... a malicious imbecile. Kennedy the Lesser is a perfect example of Trump's malice and staggering stupidity.
Kennedy, like Trump, cannot stand not being the center of attention, so he'll do anything to get that attention, no matter how outrageous or dangerous to everyone around him. His next stunt will be to claim that air causes autism, so everyone stop breathing!
