Gabbard barred sharing intelligence on Russia-Ukraine negotiations with "Five Eyes" partners

Washington As Russia's war in Ukraine rages on despite high-level meetings to discuss a possible path to peace, CBS News has learned that Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, issued a directive weeks ago to the U.S. intelligence community ordering that all information regarding the Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations not be shared with U.S.-allied intelligence partners.
The memo, dated July 20 and signed by Gabbard, directed agencies to not share information with the so-called Five Eyes, the post-World War II intelligence alliance comprising the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, multiple U.S. intelligence officials told CBS News. They spoke under condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters.
The officials said the directive classified all analysis and information related to the volatile Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations as "NOFORN," or no foreign dissemination, meaning the information could not be shared with any other country or foreign nationals. The only information that could be shared was information that had already been publicly released. The memo also limited distribution of material regarding peace talks to within the agencies that created or originated the intelligence.
The memo does not seem to prevent the sharing of diplomatic information gathered by other means separate from the U.S. intelligence community, or military operational information unrelated to the talks such as the details the U.S. shares with the Ukrainian military to aid in their defensive operations. Contacted by CBS News, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence referred questions to the White House, which did not respond.

(544 posts)The DIRECTOR of national intelligence of the top country in the world, having an extremely low intelligence quotient.....
of course, I suppose that isn't much worse than the LEADER of the top country in the world, being, in all reality, severely short on brain cells himself.....

Any intel it gives Trump, he and Putin can figure out who/where the info came from
and start killing assets. This is what happened the last time Trump was in the WH.

(544 posts)that no other country is sharing any intel with the U.S. knowing that Trump shared everything with Putin, and Jared sold all military intel from everyone to the Saudi's for TWO BILLION DOLLARS.......
SIMPLY TREASON.....Period
But then again, it's not the first time the Republican's have disclosed Top Secret Intel, is it?????? And not been executed for TREASON......
Look no further than Cheney/Rumsfeld disclosing Valerie Plame as CIA to get even with her and her husband, when her husband dared to disclose C & R's lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction.............Again......Treason !!!!!!!!!! It is safe to assume that within 24 hours of C & R's turning out Valerie Plame, that there were people "dropping" all over the world for having contact with her and her company......

Of course the Five Eyes all know this too.

(8,901 posts)No western democracy trusts us anymore. Going back to Comrade Trumps revealing code-level intel to the Russians in 2017. Coupled with what they ALREADY KNEW about Trump and Russia, we were cut off.
My biggest fear on Trump getting reelected was allied intelligence services cutting us out.
With Russian useful idiots like Gabbard in place - we are blind!

(103 posts)These are competent intelligence agencies and they are probably already operating under the assumption that they must monitor a compromised "ally" so they will keep quiet in their public-facing posture but probably have numerous covert operations assigned to the Trump/Putin connection. Perhaps the US ally status under Trump may become an adversary to be thwarted. And we may never know the extent of his treachery.

(151 posts)Elon Musk's DOGE grunts sent all of their confiscated documents to data banks via STARLINK. But we also received word that Russia has "back door" access to all of Starlink's business-- a "gift" from Musk. So, if true, the Kremlin has so many documents from the US federal government that it would likely take them YEARS to decifer all of them.
