Murdoch Tells Trump to Bring It on In Fight Over WSJ's Epstein Story

Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal’s parent company, dared President Donald Trump to bring it on after the president launched a $10 billion libel lawsuit against the publication. “We have full confidence in the rigor and accuracy of our reporting,” a spokesperson for Dow Jones said in a statement. “[We] will vigorously defend against any lawsuit.”

Trump filed the suit on Friday, accusing the Murdoch-owned paper of “glaring failures in journalistic ethics and standards of accurate reporting,” after the publication of a story about a gift Trump supposedly gave Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday. The story detailed letters given to the convicted sex trafficker for his 50th birthday, which reportedly included a signed note from Trump inside a drawing of a naked woman.

The note contained the chilling phrase “may every day be another wonderful secret.” “Those are not my words,” Trump posted on Truth Social in response to the story. “Also, I don’t draw pictures.” The WSJ has rebutted the latter claim, highlighting numerous images drawn by the president, four of which were auctioned off during his first term.

Rupert Murdoch, the Australian media mogul behind Fox News, News Corp, and hundreds of national and international outlets, took ownership of the WSJ in 2007 following the acquisition of Dow Jones & Company. Trump claimed that Murdoch had been personally warned not to print the letter, but he “did not have the power to do so.” Therefore, the president plans to make good on his promise to “sue his a-- off.”

But appealing any outcome will delay payment. Take the verdict in the New York State Fraud case. TACO still has not paid the $455 million he owes the state. IN APPEAL.

Murdoch wishes the case would actually be brought. That would sell a lot of newspapers.

But the bigger story is that it sure looks like Murdoch is through with Trump.

It is not coincidental that so many different players just happened to turn on Trump the week after the Big Billionaire Bill was signed into law. This is a highly coordinated event and THAT is why Trump is having his freak-out. it isn't just Musk. It is all of his powerful supporters who aren't already in the cabinet. And for the MAGA base to also parrot the billionaires, you can bet there is a whole lot of robo-agitating going on in MAGA-world.

BUT ... beware the words of Emerson. "When you strike at the king, you must kill him". Will these weenies kiss and make up in a few weeks as they always have before? This looks irreparable to me.

I know some think he's creating diversions & chaos with a plan, but I don't. Trump is a reactionary. It's why he says one thing one day & something totally contrary the next—he just reacts to the moment. He says/does whatever seems most expedient at the moment. Chaos will follow anyone who lives like that.

I'd be surprised if he makes it to the midterms.

These messages obviously couldn't be relayed via phone could they? Trump is too CHICKEN to do his own dirty work. Vance is his messenger boy and the United States foots the bill for a flight on Air Force 2.

I'm sure there were private words between them, before the public falling out.

My guess is that Musk did that because he knew he had nothing to do with Epstein, even though he's been 100% corrupt in so many other government dealings. It was pure deflection and a little bit of hubris for Musk.

... but then, if they successfully invoke the 25th Amendment, we'll get Vance, or whatever his name is this week. He's just as malicious as Trump, but not quite as stupid. The conservative king-makers don't have much of a bench; a step-down from Vance is Speaker of the House, "Moses" Johnson, the world's most hypocritical Über-Christian, who's got the backbone of a day-old banana peel, and would pee himself if Murdoch glanced at him sideways.
If the Democrats could get their hands on the voluminous proof of the Conservative crimes that let Trump get elected again, maybe Kamala Harris could take her rightful place behind the Resolute Desk. But that's a far-fetched dream these days.

I'm betting Musk, maybe Murdoch, purchased videos of trump with the young girls. That's what has him all a-tizzy. He thought those were for his viewing pleasure only--if he knew they were even being filmed.

This is getting juicier by the moment.
