For Sale: Trump is leveraging power of his office to reap profits for family businesses

WASHINGTON (AP) — If one theme has emerged in President Donald Trump’s second term, it’s this: He’s leveraged the power of his office for personal gain unlike anyone before in history.

From crypto coins to bibles, overseas development deals to an upcoming line of cellphones, Trump family businesses have raked in hundreds of millions of dollars since his election, an unprecedented flood of often shadowy money from billionaires, foreign governments and cryptocurrency tycoons with interests before the federal government.

“He is president and is supposed to be working in the public’s interest,” said James Thurber, an emeritus professor at American University, who has researched lobbying, campaign finance and political corruption for decades. “Instead, he is helping his own personal interest to grow his wealth. It’s totally not normal.”

The sums amassed by the Trump Organization, the collection of companies controlled by the president’s children, are far greater than those collected by the family during the president’s first term, when patronage of his hotels, resorts and golf courses was de rigueur to curry favor with the famously transactional commander-in-chief.

I'd like to see a clawback of all his ill gotten gains. He makes no issue with clawing back SS, student loans, etc., from people who have no money and are just trying to live life as honestly as possible. We will take cars, houses, cash, and other assets from people even suspected of crimes like drug smuggling, etc. AFAIC, what trump is doing is worse than drug smuggling, and his profits from his misdeeds should be clawed back and redistributed amongst the American people from whom he first stole the money!

T****’s links to Epstein, his treatment of women (and girls) are (sadly) “old news.” They should have disqualified him from his first term, let alone a second. However, they (after all of these years) are what’s getting all of the attention.

I don’t mean to diminish his crimes against women, but… Does anyone remember that he organized and led an (armed) insurrection against the US Government 4 years ago? Apparently, MAGA’s just fine with him setting “cop killers” (AKA “patriots”) loose.

His first term was obscene in the way he diverted government money into his own pockets, the way he took bribes from foreign governments, and state governments and this term he’s dropped all subtlety.

But, have you heard? He may have been one of Epstein’s “clients?"

Lord knows, they haven't given much of a shit about it, before. So much more fun, to dredge up Biden's supposed mental deficiencies, yet one more time...

You know… the people who aren’t allowed to be in the Oval Office because they won’t call the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of America on T****’s orders?

AGAINST TSF! Then vote right now if it's against any Democrats. That's where we stand with THIS Supreme Court.
