Medical associations representing hundreds of thousands of doctors, medical professionals and scientists in the United States are suing the leaders of US health agencies for limiting who can get Covid-19 vaccines and for undermining overall vaccine confidence.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in US District Court in Massachusetts, was brought by the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, American Public Health Association, Infectious Diseases Society of America, Massachusetts Public Health Association D/B/A Massachusetts Public Health Alliance, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and an unnamed doctor who is pregnant and was unable to get the Covid-19 vaccine booster.

The groups are suing US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and Matthew Buzzelli, chief of staff at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who is serving as its acting director.

CNN has reached out to HHS for comment about the lawsuit.

This is ridiculous.

I shouldn’t have to plan and pay for a trip to Canada to pay full price for a vaccine this fall that should be widely available and covered by insurance just to be a responsible adult!

RFK jr needs to get his delusional conspiracy addled head out of his ass and run the HHS based on the actual science says rather that based on what he wish it said!!!

I've received a few response letters from several of those groups that left me hopeful, but until now, I was not sure they would pull the lever. After all, so many others have shown nothing but cowardness against this administration.

SO, in a time of little good news, I am heartened by this... Oh, and the oral COVID-19 vaccine trials are continuing despite some concerns that some obstruction might present itself a few weeks ago...
