The Army's 250th birthday is in fact a once in a lifetime experience, and a significant milestone that we should be celebrating (I say that as a military retiree and a current Fed working for the Army). But this parade was never the Army's idea, and the absence coincidence makes it grotesque, IMO. But that's just me.
