(2,695 posts)Trump's 53 days are up Friday. And we have a "blood moon" lunar eclipse. Also the Ides of March are Saturday. Coincidence, but an interesting coincidence.

(5,403 posts)I was just going to post that paragraph when I saw your reply. I'm in the Central time zone, so I guess I'll head out about 1:30 in the morning to catch it. As long as its not too cloudy, I should have a great view from my front yard.

(5,403 posts)Im glad I checked when I did. I think the time stamp was for max eclipse. I went out an hourly early to check out the clouds. It was already aver a thrd eaten by then. I stayed up with it til it went dark and then came in and hit the bed. Turned a bright yellow orange overlaid by a reddish brown hue for me. Although I had no one to share it with, im glad I stayed up to watch it!

(75,146 posts)I had been out an hour earlier and the moon was shinning bright. You would not need a flashlight if camping.
Anyway, I was looking for that bright bright but instead all of a sudden I spotted the BLOOD moon. All red except for a bit on the top. Now, if camping would need a flashlight because it has darkened the yard.
I just stared at it for awhile. Mother Nature is amazing
