https://indivisible.actionkit.com/mailings/view/122278Sometimes it seems as if there is a new crisis barreling our country toward authoritarianism every day. How do we keep ourselves activated in the face of so many attacks on our country, our rights, our very personhood? Register for our final Solidarity in Action call of the year: Resilience for Sustainable Activism with special guest Nkem Ndefo on Thursday, December 4, at 7pm ET/4pm PT to learn about the Resilience Toolkit.
Solidarity in Action: Resilience for Sustainiable Activism on Thursday, December 4
Would-be authoritarians love to flood the zone. Flooding the zone is a tactic used to move an aggressive agenda forward in so many directions, at the same time, that it becomes overwhelming. We are forced to fight back on too many horrific fronts, exhausting our spirits and making it impossible to focus.
It is important to understand that we are currently experiencing this tactic so that we can counteract its impacts.
At this call, well learn how to regulate in real time while acknowledging that our responses are predictable and normal in the face of unyielding stress and trauma. Youll leave with practical tools and strategies to help you stabilize and move through the stress from Nkem Ndefo.
Nkem Ndefo, MSN, CNM, RN, is the founder of Lumos Transforms and creator of The Resilience Toolkit, a model that fosters embodied self-awareness, supports stabilization from the impacts of personal and collective trauma, and nurtures adaptive capacity in the face of stress -- all within an ecologically sensitive and social justice-oriented framework. She brings extensive experience as a clinician, educator, researcher, and community strategist to innovative programs that address trauma and inequity, build resilience, and catalyze liberatory change for individuals and organizations across the U.S. and globally. She is known for her unique ability to connect with people of all types by holding powerful liberatory spaces, weaving complex concepts into accessible narratives, and creating synergistic and collaborative learning communities that nourish peoples innate capacity for healing, wellness, and connection. Nkem is especially committed to working in solidarity with people most impacted by violence and marginalization.
Advancing Our Values -- Solidarity in Action Training Series
Solidarity in Action is our speaker series bringing together Indivisibles from across the country to learn from experts on systemic change and allyship. Authoritarianism succeeds when it targets vulnerable populations, and everyone turns aside. We will not look away. With this speaker series, were going to learn how to better support impacted communities from experts in the field.
For up-to-date recordings of previous sessions, you can always check out the Advancing Our Values website. For now, here are the recordings of sessions you may have missed so far:

Youtube link is bogus. I alerted.
It is not sustainable to burn out every few months in this fight -- we are in it for the long haul and must prepare for that reality. Join our final Solidarity in Action call of the year, and remember that rest and joy are necessary tools of resistance, not options or rewards. Join Resilience for Sustainable Activism on Thursday, December 4.
