Kellum announces re-election campaign for Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals

Judge J. Elizabeth “Beth” Kellum has officially announced her bid for re-election to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 2.

Kellum, who has served on the appellate court since 2008, said she remains committed to ensuring justice is carried out fairly across the state.

“I have been honored to serve the people of Alabama on the Court of Criminal Appeals, and I am eager to continue that work,” said Judge Kellum. “Ensuring that criminal appeals are handled fairly and impartially is vital to justice in our state.”

With more than four decades of experience in the legal field, Kellum previously served as an Assistant Attorney General, private attorney, and staff attorney for Alabama’s appellate courts. During her tenure on the bench, she has authored thousands of legal opinions and reviewed tens of thousands of criminal cases.
