When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimerâs, my father cared for her in our home for thirteen years. My provisions to expand services for family caregivers are what I wish my father had. Iâm proud to have the full support of the Senate in reauthorizing the Older Americans Act.

(25,314 posts)The (r)epugs don't care about helping seniors and others that need assistance. They (the repugs) all have plenty of money and want us to get off the planet.
Throughout this country the OAA has helped in programs such as Caregiver Respite, Low-Income Heating, Medicare advice, food assistance, home repairs, and many more. Obviously "woke" programs.

(134,214 posts)it is financially for government. At least that is how it works out in Canada. They have free health care aides that will come in the morning and at night to get you ready for the day or for sleep.
