That is all. I don't have a link but I saw it live on CNN this morning. All I can say is if you have a chance watch it in full. It was truly a thing of beauty.

(610 posts)Afraid to give any answer that may upset his orange leader, so he refuses to answer at all. How could anyone think he is fit or qualified?

Where does Trump come up with these guys?

(9,403 posts)I'm still wondering if there's a website out there where Trump can scroll through a list of "qualified" sycophants that are willing and ready to sell their souls to him.
If there was, I would imagine it would be called something like, www.suckups_R_us.com

(60,953 posts)It is nowhere near being on his radar. However, if Barack Obama watches a few of these sessions with some serious scrutiny, maybe hell call Jon on a secure line one fine day and invite him for coffee and an informal chat. Maybe Matt Santos was just a fictional precursor.
Dont hold your breath, of course. But I have being saying for years that Jon had the highest intellect in the Senate. This exchange has done nothing to change my mind.
However, there is the legendary, if not entirely accurate exchange with presidential candidate Adlai Stevenson and a supporter, where the supporter told him, you have the support of every thinking American! Stevenson is supposed to have replied, thats not enough. I need a majority!
It is a situation we have had to face far too often. I fear 2028 will be no different.

(77,833 posts)I actually use the "dogs shouldn't eat chocolate" thing when I sub science classes, with appropriate chemical structures.
Trying to get kids to grasp that there is science all around us all the time.
Your post just triggered that thought.

(60,953 posts)Scratch an ignorant, incompetent Republican nominee for a nationally vital post for which he is supremely unqualified, and Id guess his FSB handler is within a 3 mile radius, maybe a lot closer. He will be rubbing his hands with unrestrained glee reporting that Ossoff has got us all figured out, and they still will vote to confirm this oaf.

(8,817 posts)He was incredulous: You didn't know that the predecessor for the job you want went to some Fulton County office to insanely seize voting machines?
And Clayton was like "That was when I became aware of it again recently."
Ossoff just said " What?" Like, what the fuck does that even mean.
