and what this "disappearance act" signifies about our "aging and NOT ACCOUNTABLE " congress.
How dangerous ARE these unexplained absences from congress?
Moira McConnell makes some very cogent points (and some are VERY FUNNY) all the while addressing quite serious issues about what I would call our "sometimes GHOST" congress.
"One almost has to feel gratitude to Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina senator, who had the decency to die out in the open, without inflicting a mystery on the public. In McConnells case, the circumstances bordered on absurd. Think of it as Schroedingers Republican senator: for a while, sealed in his box of secrecy, the former Senate majority leader was both alive and dead."
