Dear America,

G’day from Australia, the country that does democracy so casually we eat a sausage while doing it. We vote on a Saturday, the loser concedes by dinnertime, and nobody storms anything except the pub. I mention this because on Thursday night, your president, a man with the emotional regulation of a slot machine addict on his last 20 bucks, is going to interrupt your evening to tell you that YOUR elections cannot be trusted.

He’ll wave around “newly declassified” documents like a drunk uncle waving a metal detector receipt he reckons proves there’s treasure under the deck. He’ll mutter about voting machines and foreign interference. He’ll dig up the corpse of 2020, prop it in a chair, slap a MAGA hat on it and do the voice.

And here’s what you need to hold onto with both hands while he does it: every syllable is projection. The bloke warning you about a rigged election is, right now, in broad fucking daylight, running the most brazen election-rigging operation in your country’s history. And unlike him, we brought receipts. A mile of them. Strap in, we’re walking every bloody inch.

Let’s start with what this speech actually is, because the reporting is a beauty.

The voting machine “vulnerability” material isn’t new. According to MS NOW, it was brought to White House chief of staff Susie Wiles LAST YEAR. The adults sniffed it, gagged, and shelved it, the way you’d bin a pie you found behind the fridge. Same documents. Same claims. They sat in a drawer for 12 months because there was nothing there.
