...I find it a little aggravating that some of these older gentlemen on the Judiciary Committee talk as if they have a mouth full of marbles. No passion. No emotion. Just a lackluster reading of their statements. This hearing demands more from our elected officials, in my opinion.
Mr Blanche needs to be challenged. He has broken the law and ignored others and is covering for the crimes of a criminal president and wants to be the Attorney General of this country. His appointment needs to be shot down. It was a total disregard for the law to nominate him in the first place. Even a federal judge has referred him to the bar for his questionable actions and decisions.
He has proven himself to be unqualified for the job. They should not cut him any slack at all.
For me, this hearing is evidence of the need for mandatory age limits or term limits. The country requires a sharp mind and body in these instances.
Just my opinion.

(7,089 posts)And I will be glad when Sheldon Whitehouse replaces Dick Durbin as the lead Democratic Senator on the Committee. And hopefully Whitehouse will be the Chair of the Committee, in the next Congress.

Chuck Grassley who is 92 years old is still serving as the senior U.S. senator from Iowa.
