Unfortunately the clip isnt long enough that I can understand WHY this is happening. But the fact it is happening at all is pretty amazing.
Seems like ancient history already but when and if Democrats are ever in control again, banning any and all Federal work with these law firms needs to be a day one executive order.
If law firms only want to fight for drumpf then they cannot be trusted at all. Those who have fought these illegal deals have won and as lawyers they should know better. Which leaves me not to think that they cut these deals because they WANTED to help him.

(1,574 posts)It has something to do with the law firms being subpoenaed by someone else first regarding their communications with the White House. So Blanche is subpoenaing them to try to find out what they have. Something like that.

Trump Administration Subpoenas Law Firms, Escalating Pressure Campaign
The uneasy truce between the administration and the law firms it cut deals with last year has erupted into a pitched legal battle behind closed doors.

The demands have caught the firms flat-footed, unsure of how to respond. Faced with that uncertainty, they have hired high-powered Washington lawyers to represent them as they gear up to face the Justice Department.
The tensions have arisen from a lawsuit brought in June by the American Bar Association that sought to stop Mr. Trumps campaign to punish law firms. As part of that suit, the association has asked a federal judge to order the White House to hand over internal documents and communications between Mr. Epshteyn, Mr. Trumps ally, Stephen K. Bannon, and the White House about the agreements.
