Will Michigan be livable in 2050??

"Internationally renowned researcher and author Parag Khanna thinks the Great Lakes, and Michigan in particular, will be the best place to live by 2050. The area, however, is not immune from the consequences of global warming, caused by human use of fossil fuels that drive the greenhouse effect. Heavier rainfall." -- Google A.I.

Seems another 'northern migration' is possible---
when it becomes just too goddamned HOT to live in the south---

but it gets hot up here now too, but pretty cold in the winter....

if I were still alive--- but I don't presume that I will be in that year..

I have some very long-lived ancestors,
but they probably lived more healthy than I do

We feel pretty worried, out here in the Pacific with the risks.

Good luck to all of us somehow turning around all this damage. One of the parts of this whole nightmare that hurts most is the lost opportunities to turn it around.

Still, as bad as it is, and it is, and it will be, it is not an option to give up and doing what can be done, at speed.

At some point in the future fresh water is going to be favored over a mild climate. It won't just be Michigan but all of the great lakes region.
