Trump recommends Lindsey Graham’s sister serve as interim senator for South Carolina (CNBC)

President Donald Trump on Monday urged South Carolina’s governor to appoint late Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darline Graham Nordone, to fill his Senate seat through the rest of the year.

now i've got to pray for the levees to explode or a giant meteor hit to keep her out of the senate.

on the other hand, lindy boggs was a great congresscritter.

sis might just turn out to have a mind of her own?

but probably because trump already knows her secrets and can get right down to the deal.

And his wife served out his term based on the qualifications she didn't ski into a tree...

You would think they'd want to appoint someone that would run for the seat, but Trump plays 4 dumbmensional chess.

Most filled in until the next election. A few in Congress went on to win at least one election following the appointment
In the Senate, 7 of 8 were D. In the House 25 of 40 were D. Debbie Dingell of MI is a special case. She was not a widow. Her husband retired and she won the election to replace him.
