"Grassley, who has consistently defended Patel publicly, asked the director in the letter to 'please explain why you decided to purchase BMW vehicles instead of Chevy Suburbans,'" MSNOW reported.
Really American 🇺🇸

"For each trip where you used an FBI aircraft for personal travel, have you reimbursed the FBI as required by law? If yes, please provide the records," Grassley wrote in his May letter.
"For decades, regardless of which political party is in the White House, I have worked to ensure that taxpayer dollars are protected from waste, fraud, and abuse," Grassley stated.
As MSNOW indicated, Grassley has previously gone out on a limb in defense of a visibly incompetent Patel, something he now seems to regret.
"Grassley, who has consistently defended Patel publicly, asked the director in the letter to 'please explain why you decided to purchase BMW vehicles instead of Chevy Suburbans,'" MSNOW reported.

"[A] letter from Democrats reference[d] an incident last summer, when Patel was allowed by the military to take a VIP snorkeling trip in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, around the wreckage of the USS Arizona, where 1,177 sailors and Marines died during the Japanese attack in 1941.
"That excursion was first reported by The Associated Press and confirmed by Patels spokesman, who defended it as 'a historical tour to honor heroes who died' on the sunken aircraft carrier."...........................

Do something statesmanlike and on the side of Democracy like holding Patel accountable and doing so in a way that will awaken other sleeping Republicans enough to somehow result in the removal of Patel from an office he was never really qualified to hold in the first place.
