Michelle Obama has nothing to prove but she proved it anyway

IMHO our former first lady is the best public speaker of the last few decades. She makes it seem easy and she is uplifting, relaxed and joyful while at the same time making her points clearly. Today it was obvious who much of that speech was directed at without ever saying his name or getting into the dirt with him. That's an artform.

Her sheer talent and grace are why she is the object of so much vitriol from the right. It's why they just can't let go to the point that they are still publicly insulting her as they flail about in the shadow of her dignity. I'm sure I don't have to remind most of you of the disgusting smears the right has flung at her as recently as last weekend. But what else do they have to counteract her words and presence? Nothing.

I know that I am not expressing anything that hasn't been said before. But her speech today was unbelievable. I had to tip my hat to it and express my thanks for her many years of service and what she has had to endure. The entire Obama family is a national treasure and an ideal for the rest of us to aspire to.

is unmatched in my opinion. It is so powerful that yes, I wish she would run for President, but she's made it clear she's not interested. It's our loss.

Wonder were performing! I was remembering the electric excitement in June, 2008 when I attended an O’Bama rally with my teacher pals. We were welcomed in by Michelle’s brother, Oregon State basketball coach and team The entire opening today reminded us of how we felt during those years and it steeled my resolve to keep showing up and resisting, insisting, and persisting!!! Be well everyone. Let’s get to work! Love you DU family 🩷😊

Setting aside how privileged I feel to have voted for and experienced the leadership of her husband as not only the first black president but also as at least one of the best presidents ( if not the best) in our history, Michelle Obama is a force to be reckoned with. When I hear her speak, I invariably become emotional - in a good way! She motivates people to do something!

I swear she looks like she did when Obama was in office. As my grandmother used to say, must be the good living.
