ken paxtons lawyer endorses talarico

donated 1,000 to his campaign and said paxton “has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.”

“And unlike Ken, I believe to my core that James Talarico believes in unity over division and that he knows how to assemble not only Democrats, but Independents and Republicans, and we need that right now,”

The House who voted to impeach Paxton, plus the additional Cornyn supporters may just surprise us all.

5th generation Texan here and I’m hopeful that Talarico will garner those voters who can’t stand Paxton. If they can’t bring themselves to vote for the democratic candidate then perhaps they’ll not cast a vote at all for either candidate.

There is a pattern of scandal-plagued republicans (redundant) hiring Democrats to defend them. It may be the same way men have women defend them in divorce/custody battles. Tom Delay and Scooter Libby both had Democratic lawyers.

Plus, one article has the below passage with a quote from co-counsel, though it should be taken with a grain of salt since that one is a magapublican.

Paxton's camp did not immediately return a request for comment. But another member of his legal team, Republican state Rep. Mitch Little of Frisco, shrugged off Cogdell's endorsement.

"I love Dan, but he is a Democrat, and he doesn’t vote very much," Little wrote on X. "This impeachment defense lawyer is 100% behind Ken Paxton. I’ve personally served alongside Representative Talarico, and — when he’s working — he’s doing really radical, leftist things."
