Trump spent much of Saturday flooding Truth Social with a torrent of memes, AI slop, political attacks, and fan-made tributes.
The six-hour posting marathon unfolded on a day when the only item listed on the presidents public schedule was Executive Time.
Beginning at noon, Trump shared or reposted more than 50 pieces of content ranging from patriotic fantasy art and self-congratulatory graphics to crime memes, military imagery, celebrity tributes, and attacks on political rivals.

(327 posts)He was 93. He was emotionally stunted his whole life, an unpleasant man at the best of times. When his health went bad, it was NOT the best of times. He became unbearable. He slept all day and ranted all night. His ankles became swollen as CHF became worse in spite of his pacemaker. He would repeatedly get out of bed and fall at 2 or 3am, which necessitated multiple family members coming to the rescue. I think he enjoyed the attention and the bossing of others. Finally, we couldnt care for him at home any longer and he had to go to a care facility, where he grabbed my finger and tried to break it on my first visit. He lasted about ten days. His passing was a blessing and a relief.
I see certain patterns in the decline. I would imagine that Cheetolini has more time than that, but make no mistake, it is coming.
Buy your Champagne now. There is sure to be a run on it at some point soon.

(28,638 posts)When there is a significant alteration in living arrangements or some other major issue, they decompensate very quickly.
My father had CHF and kidney failure and for no good reason decided without consulting me, to move. He realized, too late, that he chose a building which was not great, and he became at first angry, then despondent. He rallied for a few days remarkably, then exited two days after President Clinton was re-elected. In fact his last words on the Wednesday, according to his nurse were Who won the election? When she said that Clinton had he said Good and went back into his fugue state.

(24,600 posts)Sorry you had to endure that. Different set of circumstances with my own father...he died of multiple myeloma...but my lifelong relationship with him was no walk in the park, either, so I empathize with your experience.
I get to the point where the "psychology of what drives Trump" makes me shut down and turn my attention elsewhere.
I've said this a number of times on DU...kudos to Mary Trump, who lays it all out in a clear and concise manner regarding her uncle's pathology, but...
...I am not willing to sign up for punishment because poor little rich boy Donny had rotten parents.
The more he lashes out about his "injustices," the fewer people seem to care.
It will be a relief when it's over.

(24,600 posts)The biggest issue with that...other than the fact that Trump, and everyone in his orbit, is dramatically damaged, is that "Camelot" did not happen under the white-hot lights of 24/7 Internet and Cable News.
Maybe, if both had existed in the early 60s, "Camelot" would have still happened. But America was not poised to pounce on every single detail and bit of dirty laundry in the lives of politicians, celebrities, "media figures."
With Trump, it's more like 24/7 "The Worst of TMZ."
Plus, the things he's trying to cover up, like Epstein...
...it's a lot bigger than "JFK & Bobby are both seeing Marilyn."
I remember Lynne Cheney trolling and giggling during George W Bush's second term, in an appearance with Laura, saying "If you REALLY want a BUSH DYNASTY," then Laura needed to run for President.
And, as we have seen, America did not want a "Bush Dynasty." Jeb's ambitions tanked, and George Prescott Bush...the "chosen one"...was just too much of a hot mess, including domestic violence allegations.
I think Trump knows he is not going to "Organically" reach "Camelot." so he's trying to create it artificially, by slapping his name on everything that's not moving (and by suggesting he wants Princess Ivanka to succeed him as president. I REALLY don't see that one happening).

(327 posts)Idiotloser 47 was a teenager when Kennedy was President. The Camelot phenomenon would have had a profound effect on him. He desperately wants to be JFK, and to exceed his accomplishments.
There are several problems: Kennedy was TV handsome, a great public speaker, and had a well educated and cultured spouse. He had social graces. Cheetolini looks like a bloated cadaver, couldnt put together a coherent sticky post, and we wont even talk about Mailorderia. He has the manners of a farm animal.
He tries to force the public to love him, but cant. He badly wants to be accepted into New York society but that aint happening.
Cheetolinis sad social climbing reminds me of Mohamed Fayeds pathetic attempt to graft his DNA to that of the British royals.

(24,600 posts)...and ask yourself how you'd feel about the president's handlers building a $400 million ballroom that included an underground bunker and A FULL "MEDICAL CENTER" after bulldozing the East Wing.
We "processed" that move in a way that we only could after surviving one unrelenting Trump travesty after another.
But "the party that wants to gut Medicare and Medicaid" is BUILDING A FULL "MEDICAL CENTER" ON WHITE HOUSE GROUNDS, FOR TRUMP.
Americans should be losing their minds right now. Except (and obviously, I am not talking about DU) America has gone numb, which is what Trump has wanted all along. He wanted America too numb and punch-drunk to fight back.
Hopefully that will wear off between now and November. I am not 100% convinced that it will, but I am not succumbing to negativity and pessimism and thinking that it WON'T.
That's why I write, 7 days a week. It's in the hope that someone sitting on the fence will read it and go "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" and VOTE.

Think about just this one incident: for 6 fucking hours the leader of the largest economy and military in the entire history of the world did nothing, zero, zilch, nadda for 6 fucking hours other than air imaginary grievances. In another way to look at it, the president was completely absent of his duties during that time. In any other nation in the world, the government would be freaking the fuck out trying find him.
But more over they knew exactly where he was and did nothing because, god help the poor fuck that had to interrupt him during one of his rage tweets, heaven forbid, there was something that needed his attention.
We have been run by a cabal of greedy fucking psychopaths and sociopaths. And all the orange asshole/pedo does is collect his cut on anything done
Want this piece of shit to drop dead? Call him an idiot and a loser every fucking single day on national television. Its well known he truly hates being called that. Why? Because thats what his fucked up psychopathic father used to call him. And he will stroke out from rage. Thats how we rid the world of the orange plague
