You know this would take a Constitutional Amendment approved by what, three-fourths of the states. Can't be done--won't be done.

Regardless of what the lying Felon with a huge credibility problem may allege, this cannot happen.

Right now he and the GOP are pretending the nation is being governed the same way we always have been, but those of us who have been watching know better. I suspect the pretense might be abandoned if the elections this November see the GOP lost the House and Senate.

Trump doesn't have to run again. He has power now. All he has to do is hold on to it; don't think for a moment he hasn't thought about it.

I know I'm unpopular and a real proper vote would be the end of me, so how do I get to stay where I am?

Currently we are at the 'Let us all pretend things are normal' stage, but that is wearing thin.

There is no legal means, true. What makes you think the law is any hindrance to this man?

Just announce it and expect everyone to go along?

If that were remotely possible he would have done it already, starting with the 2020 election.

No dictator who ever seized power had the support of all the people, or even a majority. All he would need is to declare an emergency, such as "obvious election fraud," and that the key people - the military, the GOP leaders in Congress - decide that in the "emergency" he should temporarily control things. It would be announced as temporary, and then it would simply continue. He could call for a Constitutional Convention - not that he has any right, but that would never stop him - and then the Republicans could create the kind of government they can control permanently.

Far too many Americans are complacent about their government, and relatively few of us would make enough noise to be a problem. Make no mistake; America is under threat from this man.

Now, I am not saying he WOULD do this, but I am saying that he'd stand a better chance of succeeding at this than trying to run for a third time under our current Constitution.
