Don't Believe The Propaganda That Oil Flow Is Resuming Through Hormuz

I saw this headline on MSN. It is resuming with one big stipulation.

Yes, oil tankers from China and Pakistan have passed through Hormuz, but there is a catch, they were authorized by Iran first for safe passage.

This is exactly what Iran wants, no ship gets through Hormuz unless Iran authorizes it.

Iran's now the gate keeper at the Strait of Hormuz.
Other benefits are that the new Iranian government is even more radical than the previous one, and the popular uprising against the Iranian government is essentially dead.

Lots of oil infrastructure in Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Mid East petro states has been destroyed. It's going to take awhile to rebuild and replace all of that, experts best guess at this moment is 12-18 months. Not to mention the oil companies are going to be reluctant to drop pump prices, after all they've been making out like bandits. It may be two years before we see pre war prices again, if ever.

Oil prices fall.

* The price of Brent crude, the global benchmark for oil, was down about 5 percent, to around $95 a barrel, for August delivery.

* West Texas Intermediate crude, the U.S. benchmark, also fell 5 percent, to around $92 a barrel, for July delivery.
