Spencer Pratt, LA mayorial candidate, blew his tv fortune prepping for the 2012 apocalypse

https://www.irishstar.com/culture/entertainment/spencer-pratt-2012-apocalypse-spending-37168237

Los Angeles mayoral candidate and The Hills alum Spencer Pratt reportedly blew his $10 million fortune preparing for the world to end.

Pratt, 42, is currently in second place in the polls to become the Mayor of Los Angeles. He is only a few points behind the Democratic incumbent, Mayor Karen Bass, with the primary election only two weeks away.

The father of two announced his candidacy in January, approximately one year after his Pacific Palisades home burned down during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Since the race for mayor began, Pratt has received endorsements from numerous celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Rob Schneider, and Taylor Lautner.

In December 2013, Pratt admitted that he and his wife, Heidi Montag, 39, blew their The Hills fortune because they were entirely convinced that the world was going to end on December 21, 2012, based on the Mayan apocalypse prophecies.

When Pratt was on MTV's The Hills, he reportedly made $175,000 per episode, while the couple raked in $2 million a year from paid experiences and photoshoots.

People who use the “Moonbeam” epithet typically aren’t Californians.

I admittedly know nothing about his MTV show and have only seen his name and apparently that of his wife pop up from time to time. But, I do hope the voters learn all this about them both in time.
