Black turnout way up in responce to attack on their voting rights.

From @dailykos.com : “While Republicans may have a short-term high, their racist gerrymandering appears to be having the unintended and politically damaging consequence of boosting Black voter turnout in the midterms.” www.dailykos.com/stories/2026...

Black voters helped win Georgia for Biden and they are consistent voters in other states as well. This is life or death for all of us.

Typically, the more aggressively a position is presented to someone, the more likely they are to adopt an opposing view.

Thank goodness that these extremists also happen to be idiots.

Dem Senators and House Members should be walking the streets spreading the word in their districts, organizing people to go looking for, and registering voters when they are home from DC........Not just vacationing and relaxing, this time around.
THIS IS THE MAKE IT, OR BREAK IT YEAR.

Campaigns should work on Mexican and Blacks (here legally,) especially.........there were an incredible %age of Mexicans that voted for Trump, and probably a good %age of blacks............(also LGBTQ?) that voted for Trump......

We need a massive turnout, to thwart all the different corrupt things the Repubs are doing to eliminate Dem Voters or keep potential dem voters from registering this time around........

With voter rolls at the local county and state levels but they are trying to limit who, when and where voter registration can occur.

They have launched a broadly tentacled attack on our democracy and few people are aware of how insidious it is.

Some corrupt breaking news item, to sway last minute voters.......Like Comey's announcement that he had NEW Hillary emails, when they were old ones from years priors......etc etc etc

My guess is, THIS YEAR, the Republican House and Senate, with the co-operation of the U.S. Supreme Court will eliminate mail in votes, or disqualification of mail in votes that are received after the election, but have a postmark before the election. Also, if there is mail in votes allowed, the mails will be tampered with like DeJoy did in past elections, just months prior to the elections.
They also will try an extremely corrupt, last minute wipe out of registered voters, with no notification, and no time for registered voters to appeal....That has worked extremely well for them in past elections.....
Other things are publishing the wrong date for voting, and eliminating normal voting locations, as well as just changing your normal voting location......AND be prepared for ICE and BORDER PATROL TO BE AT EVERY VOTING LOCATION.....
They are already checking signatures on the ballots, against the original signature when women registered to vote, and most women having gotten married, sign the ballot with their married name, and they will throw out your vote if the names don't match....Hardly anyone signs their name the same as when they registered to vote, and if your current signature doesn't match the original the way you signed when you were young, they can throw that out also.

They can corruptly, illegally, and un-constitutionally drive the final nail in the coffin this time around folks, and don't think they won't go all out, stopping at NOTHING, to win...

No more same day. No more registration at the library. No more registration drives. I used to do a registration drive through the county election board each year with seniors at the local high schools, and I'm not allowed to do that anymore.

How are we going to grow our numbers if we can't have registration drives?

They are attacking democracy from the core. My guess is they plan sham elections where they always win.

I'm beyond upset about the roadblocks being put in place that curb not just voting but my personal engagement in support of democracy.

I don't hear anything about this from my local democrats group and not a peep of a plan from anyone else about it.

They really don't want anybody to vote at all. Unless you're a Republican. It's scary.
