During FDR's terms, their emphasis was on American heritage, American pride, American music (Aaron Copeland), American history, American strength, American arts, etc.

I was at a chorus concert yesterday with several patriotic songs and I was thinking "Why can't we take them back?" Re-claim what it is to be an American . . . And I don't mean European/White/Caucasian. I mean everybody.

Don't let Donald Trump take away our July 4th. Don't let him "celebrate" it with wrestling matches and speed car races around the Capitol.
