Whiskey Pete Shifts Blame for Trump's 'Gift to the World' War

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth has blasted America’s allies for free-riding instead of joining the war in Iran, describing the conflict as a “gift to the world” from Donald Trump.

As the war entered another day with no end in sight, Hegseth also declared it should not be left to America alone to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, at the same time insisting the U.S. naval blockade would continue for “as long as it takes.”

“It’s a bold and dangerous mission, a gift to the world historic courtesy of a bold and historic president,” he said on Friday, suggesting allied nations should be grateful.

-snip-

But despite Trump entering the war without congressional approval, public buy-in or consultation with NATO, Hegseth told reporters: “This should not be America’s fight alone. We barely use the Strait of Hormuz as a country. Our energy doesn’t flow through there, and we have plenty of energy.”

Go home Hegseth, you're drunk again.

And as a citizen of this country I would never consider this...

BUT...

If some other country, like a once upon a time ally, would remove our alleged 'presint', I would cheer them on. And even more so if they took the cabinet too

They weren’t attacking the US and the only reason they became a threat of developing a nuclear weapon was because Trump ended the nuclear monitoring agreement that the Obama administration negotiated in conjunction with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

If a NATO member country declares war on a non NATO country there is no obligation on the part of NATO to join the conflict, although some countries may voluntarily choose to do so.
NATO is a defensive alliance, not an overall alliance.
Overall alliances would oblige participation although carve outs might occur.
Non aggression pacts forbid countries from attacking each other but without obligation to assist if one is attacked.

NATO countries are not obligated to heed trumpass and hegsdeath double double talk talk.
