From Democrats in Virginia with their own "redistricting" to MATCH what Trump STARTED in Texas and Florida......to his GROSS MISCALCULATION in Iran, stamping his tiny feet and demanding that they call him "Sir," to which they have pretty uniformly met with "GET BENT"...
...to Military leaders being forced between taking orders to commit war crimes from a drunken rapist Fox "News" InfoTainment personality and following their OWN CODE OF ETHICS...
...to TACO TRUMP moving the goal line every one to two weeks, but making sure he sounds tough by saying "I'm extending the ceasefire but you'd better fucking listen to me right fucking now or I will blow a hole through your fucking country do fucking big that fuck fuck fuck-ity doo dah, fuckity-A..."
...to world leaders saying "YOU started this shit, YOU violated your OWN RULES and did an end-run around Congress, YOU got into it, YOU fix it..."
I COULD BE WRONG, but it seems like Diaper Don Corleone is losing in every possible manner.

He doesnt seem to comprehend how the real world works. When he pulls his power trip bullying, people will react. Some examples: Iran, tariffs, now gerrymandering. Most of the universe will not roll over and accept abuse like the GOP.

(159 posts)...it is the fastest method for dealing with a bully.
You have to meet them where they are at.
Generally speaking, the Democratic party has chosen to try all the least effective ways first but the Virginia strategy was nicely done.

Aint that the ever loving truth! Perfectly and succinctly stated.

(53,278 posts)he appears to be quite unbalanced now. Add to that early stage dementia, we have a leader who apparently believes he can do anything and everything without repercussions, like pushing around powerful leaders across the world. A lot of magical thinking going on in the White House these days.
Of course, it appears that late at night, his fears and insecurities come to the surface evident by his many bizarre tweet storms. I'm not sure he's entirely convinced himself that he is omnipotent, a part of him knows what is coming.

(13,536 posts)When allies pushed back on Greenland threats, he "walked away."
There is no walking away on Iran.
He is incapable of negotiating.
His demands will never be met.
The only "out" is surrender and reparations -- and epic humiliation, which he will not allow.
The magnitude of the damage to this nation and the world done by his Iran insanity is so far beyond anything else he has done.
Republicans are in denial. They continue to tell themselves it will end and everything will just "snap back" to some sort of tolerable trumpian business as usual.
But that will NEVER happen with Trump in the White House. There is no out with Trump in power.
He IS the crisis. The only way to end the crisis is if he leaves.
If enough of them wake up and see this reality we'll see an effort to push him out. A push to resign for "health reasons" or some face saving bullshit.
It is not outside the realm of possibility.
If that does come to pass, they'll find they left it to long. It's too late. Many Republican careers are over. The party can't "live down" this level of chaos and destruction. And they only have themselves to blame.
