Billionaire GOP megadonor upset that Mamdani filmed "Tax the Rich" video in front of his $238 million penthouse

A billionaire GOP megadonor is threatening to throw a $6 billion hissy fit because a Democratic mayor was mean to him. New York City’s socialist mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has targeted the uber-wealthy with a new tax on homes worth north of $5 million. Hedge fund CEO Ken Griffin’s megapad in Manhattan comfortably meets that threshold. He bought the penthouse in 2019 for $238 million, making it the most expensive home in American history. But Griffin, who Forbes estimates is worth a cool $50.7 billion, is reportedly rankled that Mamdani stood outside the property and used it as the poster boy for his new “Tax the Rich” scheme.

Take away all of their money and privileges. In the middle class part of town, set each up in an apartment, turn on utilities and internet (no TV) and give them a fast food worker job. Make them work to pay their own bills and get around on public transportation.. Treat them like any other entry level employee. If they screw up and get fired, then they have to find themselves a new job, before they get evicted. IOW, for them, hell on earth.

Or let them choose between that and cleaning the streets, gutters, etc.

Putting them in jail does nothing to re- pay society. They should be doing something to compensate for the pain they caused..

When they are really just grubby, selfish little monsters who want everything for themselves and can’t imagine any poor person being happy. So they are not only greedy and selfish. They are also sadistic. This is all being done in plain sight.

1). Warren said "Let's tax Musk and Bezos at the same rate as working Americans"

2). Musk suffered a near-fatal bout of butt hurt and called Warren "Tax Karen"

3). A month later he owned Twitter and turned it into his personal screw Democrats machine

The schemes have been the accumulation of absurd amounts of wealth in the gazillionaire class at the expense of everyone else.

The return of that money to fund programs for everyday people is a plan.

There are the moron super ego billionaires with no personality and want all the limelight and suck all the energy out of the room to fuel their sociopathy/psychopathy

Then there are the roaches. The billionaires that like the ostentatiousness of being a billionaire without all the limelight. They quietly go about ruining peoples lives and also living a life of quiet anonymity. Happy to allow the overt douchebag billionaires to take the light off of them

But then this happens, he buys the most expensive condo in the world and expects to just quietly go on with his life crushing the lives of the poor, but then, Mamdani shines the biggest fucking spot light on him and he quickly falls to pieces and tries hard to scurry to the corners. Because, this snowflake, knows full well that he’s a complete and utter fucking worthless shallow piece of shit, and now, everyone else paying attention knows too

Citadel Sends Warning Shot to NYC After Mamdani Blasts Billionaire Griffin

Just two months ago, Vornado Realty Trust was boasting about financial behemoth Citadel’s appetite for New York real estate, vowing to create a new icon for the Manhattan skyline.

“There will be nothing like this available in New York,” Glen Weiss, Vornado’s executive vice president, said in a February earnings call, referencing a 62-story development on Park Avene for Ken Griffin’s empire. “This will be the best building built in the city by far.”

That project – estimated to cost $6 billion — is now at risk following New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s attack on Griffin’s purchase of a $238 million apartment on Central Park. In a now viral social media post discussing a new tax proposal on pieds-à-terre, Mamdani accused second-home buyers of storing their wealth in the city while not contributing enough to its finances.

..........

Included in the correspondence was a list of contributions both Citadel and Griffin have made to New York, including a veiled threat that the financial-services firm is considering pulling out of its new office development.

Those not so clever folks who decided not to vote for VP Harris in 2024, Hillary in 2016, and Gore in 2000, have helped usher in the billionaire control of our government, and demise of our democracy.

What they have effected contributed to as Voltaire so eloquently put, "Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good"

and there was and is a difference between republicans and Democrats.
