i started thinking back to when my daughter was in jr. high & high school (and a few years beyond) and there was bush & cheney fucking up our country and how much i hated them and their team. (i just googled to see who was in the cabinet and those i still remember i hated.) so much anger, resentment, disgust.

i never imagined we would top that. but we did.

Hey elected Dems and wannabes:

THIS FURY.
THIS PASSION.
THIS ISSUE SET.
EVERY PODCAST.
EVERY NEWS HIT.
EVERY DAMN DAY.
MAKE MAGA RESPOND.
FOR THE NEXT 6 MONTHS.
MAKE REPUBLICANS RESPONSIBLE.
MAKE MAGA VOTERS RESPOBSIBLE.
AND THEN, TELL US HOW IT WILL BE BETTER--
BECAUSE WE VOTED FOR YOU, BECAUSE WE'RE TRUSTING YOU TO FIX THIS,

to the insanity, instead of the sober calm discussion we see on TV. I feel like I'm half walking around in dull numbness--because how could you live your life if you faced it--and half in despair. Or tearing my hair out at the latest atrocity that no one seems to be able to do anything about, but there are no depths that Fox News can't make up a nice story about.
