One of my main thoughts is on Brittany Watts Swalwell and her kids

I really thought this might be a Roger Stone BS hit job, but have changed during the course of the day. The statement from Swalwell's staff has convinced me.

Aside from the sickening mistreatment of women, I will never understand how these men can humiliate their wives with their indefinitely and in this case predatory behavior.

I hope she has support and can rebuild her and their kid's lives.

It will be hard for her for a while, but not insurmountable.

I hope the media is more respectful towards her than they have been for Mrs. Clinton.

I don't know if his relationship with his wife can be survive this or not but I do have a tremendous amount of empathy for her and wish her well.

I remember when Spitzer had his wife stand with him when he resigned. She looked so humuliated and distressed. It was painful to see. Spitzer's wife did leave him shortly thereafter.

the California's governor race, assuming Swalwell drops out. A tragedy for the family could be a blessing for the Democratic party and the state of California.
