We here in California will select our next Governor. Not folks in D.C. or N.Y. or the internet or anywhere else...

Just as you all will select your own representatives. Looking forward to getting my ballot in the mail and being a part of making the correct choice for California - not anywhere else.

Or is that off-limits? Only Californians can opine on California elections?

I mean, you surely are not concerned that a swath of D.C. or N.Y. or the internet people are going to try to vote in CA, are you?

So just what point are you making here?

With that I see a lot of posts here and to be fair, in liberal CA forms on Nextdoor, where people have been overly worried about the Governor race.

I would be shocked if two Repukes make it through.

With the latest events it is likely that Steyer gets one spot. Now we need to get one more Dem through.

Because there is no way in hell a Repub is winning CA this year sans MASSIVE fraud.

Yes the timing sucks but if you have ever been or had a loved one who was a victim of SA you recognize certain patterns of grooming. Unfortunately I saw those patterns in the women's statements.

Not sure about the timing. Maybe it is due to them finding out that they had similar experiences just recently.

As for his credentials, yes, they're top notch. He'll receive strong consideration from multiple members of my family, both in Northern and Southern California. The fact that he could become the first California Governor of Latin American descent in 150 years would obviously be special, not just for my family but for so many across the state - particularly given what the current President is attempting to do to Latin Americans in this country.

It may be our governor, but it doesn't hurt to hear input from citizens of other states because ultimately, we have the final say. I welcome as much information as possible and it's up to us to decide what to believe and what to utilize in our decision making.

Kind of like a contestant on the "Price is Right" game show. The audience is yelling out their opinions and through all of the pandemonium, the contestant on stage makes the final decision, right or wrong, they have to live with their decision.
