Sheriff: "We intentionally ran him over"

Watch the first 30 seconds of this clip
https://abc30.com/videoClip/18864625/
The man’s body language, choice of words, and decision on what was appropriate are absolutely chilling.
I don’t agree with anyone shooting anyone else, ever. But I totally disagree that cops should decide to be judge, jury, and executioner while in a state of panic.

And any return rounds the police fire that miss him could also kill an innocent civilian, running him over was probably safer.

2. Maybe there should be a real investigation of this

unlike the many sham investigations that follow a killing by the police. It may very well be the case that the officers took the least harmful approach but I am not going to take the officers' word on it.

He killed a deputy trying to serve a eviction notice, barricaded himself in the house and kept shooting out at the police even after tear gas was deployed, escaped the house and was running through backyards while still returning fire.

Not sure what else have investigation would find.

4. The copcops should be charged if true. No police officer should be immune from charges -..

And some wonder why cops have a bad reputation--or that some can not be trusted to keep ALL safe.

5. So he's shooting at police after killing one, they shoot back and kill him that's okay

But he's shooting at police after killing one and they run him over that's not okay? Don't see the difference other than that safer for the neighborhood not to be shooting around houses with people in them

"I don’t agree with anyone shooting anyone else, ever."

Then I listened to the entire clip and discovered that I could understand how and why things went down as they did.

8. IMO, accountability count way more than any kind of "punishment," lethal or otherwise.

Do ya remember Oswald and Ruby? That "street justice" destroyed fact-finding and accountability,

Roman gladiators threw a net to immobilize.

While there are legitimate self-defense arguments to be made, way too often someone in combat armor kills someone holding a sandwich. or a bag of chips. I grew up reading "Fearless Fosdick" comics and the facts today make him look like a "parking enforcement officer".

The only cop who ever sent a chair to the chair.

When police are militarized, the rules of war, not "justice" prevail.
