I just heard a new word (ok, new to me, lol) that seems to describe t perfectly!

Lubberwort! It means a lazy or stupid person, and is attributed to Shakespeare.
Thank you to Professor Tracy Borman, who's short video on "Daily life in the age of Queen Elizabeth I" for the history extra channel on you tube, introduced the word to me.
