Signs ready!

We WILL NOT let this autocratic basturd crush what we have spent a quarter of a millenium building. It has been won at too high a price to surrender it to the likes of donald fucking tRump! We fought a revolution, a civil war, and two world wars; endured lynchings, beatings, attack dogs, fire hoses, depressions, epidemics, shooting massacres and more to gain the liberties we have---and we will NOT give it all away to the likes of donald fucking tRump!

I am going to a local gathering as I did last year. Not huge but good turnout with good people.

I was recently declared cancer free, but I have a newly diagnosed, untreated heart condition. I will not be deterred.

Anyone with some good sign ideas I could borrow?

My sign turned out to be such an expression of my hatred of this despicable piece of crap that I’d best not carry it.

There will be signs there and I will take one of those.

Really looking forward to it! A bunch of us got together last Sunday afternoon to make our signs. This Saturday, we’ll be showing them off! Gonna be fun! AND decorative!

At least friends of mine are walking with us. Maybe more.We want our country back.

pals and I bring our instruments, put up a pop up and play and sing. People stop and sing along. It is affirming to be in the midst of throngs of folks feeling the same as you. At a protest last year, I saw this tiny, frail elderly woman slowly walking by. On the front of her walker, her sign said: “Courage Is Found In Unusual Places”. We can’t let up and need to keep insisting, resisting, and persisting whenever and however we can. Be well and safe DU family! 😊

My first protest was Presidents day last year, 4 days before my quadruple bypass surgery. I almost didn't make it through as I should never have risked it, but I've been going since and wouldn't miss saturdays for all the tea in India lol.

All joking aside, Our country depends on it!

She always comes up with a dilly of a costume and sign for these events. And she got some cheap gold sneakers to wear with her many Trump slap-down ensembles. The Marie Trumpinette was a show stopper, but I think this week's outfit will be an even bigger crowd pleaser.
