the Middle East who paid Trump $1 billion to join his Board of Peace? If Trump bombs Iran's power stations, triggering a response from Iran that destroys desalination plants in neighboring countries, will those ME oligarchs turn against Trump? How will they express their anger against him?

they have done and continue to do nothing themselves to achieve that change. It is not only Israel and Russia pulling trump's strings it seems.

the idea that the powerful US military could easily wipe out Iran as a threat to the region. Now they are seeing how ineptly the US military is being led. Our military men and women ARE good, but the people that Trump has put onto place as leaders are not. Those oligarchs must feel betrayed by glowing promises and faltering delivery on them.

either on Velshi or the Alex Witt show which had a substitute for Alex. Their position is that as long as there is no regime change they will always be under threat from Iran. That was the second time I have heard this is what the Arab states are messaging. It is easy for them to want this as they have little skin in the war in comparison to the US in both blood and treasure, imo.

A lot of people have attributed Trump's war to an attempt to sidetrack from the Epstein files and I agree that that is part of the timing for starting the war. But I believe that there are other motives for Netanyahu and Trump.

Netanyahu has decided that there will be no Palestinian state. He wants to annex both Gaza and the West Bank. To do that he needs to eliminate Iran as a threat to Israel because Iran has been behind the terrorist activity in Israel for decades.

Trump's personal interest is his plan for a Trump resort in Gaza. He can't begin construction until Iran's terrorist threat is eliminated.

So Netanyahu and Trump joined together in a common interest regarding Iran. Trump's Board of Peace was created to get Middle East support for Trump's and Bibi's long term goal of crushing Iran's terrorist activities.

Making sure that Iran never has a nuke capability is also involved. But they were not as near such a development as Trump claims. That was handled well through negitiations under Obama, but of course Trump trashed it in his ignorance and penchant for thuggery and melodrama.

Netanyahu, Putin, and Trump all had ties with Epstein. Who knows? Maybe Trump wants his Gaza resort as a replacement for Epstein's island.

ETA: I believe that Trump and Netanyahu (maybe Putin, too) are attempting to create an international network of dictatorial oligarchs to rule the world through their wealth, power, and shared interests. It would operate like Epstein's circle of contacts, which was primarily a political wealth and power organization. The prostitution and pedophilia were entertainment bonuses for them.

for the very reasons you raise. The level of underestimating the Iranian regime's capability to fight back is astounding. They see these attacks by Israel and the US as existential threats to their very existence so they will use everything they have to ensure that does not happen

Yes, the Iranian regime is appalling and my fervent wish is for the Iranian people can make the changes they so desperately want and we do know that attempts for regime change from outside the country fail.

Iran was adhering to the agreement they signed on to with President Obama so their pursuit of nuclear capabilities are not coming from an ideology but, rather, a perceived need to protect themselves from attack, imo.

This is a very dangerous time globally thanks to bibi and trump.

and there are American politicians who agree with that view. They want a dictator that they can control, like the Shah was and like exists now in Venezuela. Trump wants to do the same with Cuba. He is OK with a dictator in Cuba, but it must be a RW dictator like the corrupt RW Batista who the US supported prior to Castro. It was the cruelty of life under Batista that led to the Cuban revolution that installed Castro. It was the hair-brained CIA Bay of Pigs operation that drove Castro into the Comminist arms of the Soviet union.

It's an old RW playbook in the US. Set up a dictator to control for US business interests. JFK tried to stop that pattern and to establish diplomacy and good will in 3rd world countries through programs like the Peace Corp. That sort of thing is too subtle and does not have enough macho showmanship for a shallow thug like Trump and his gang of thugs.

Want to hamper the U.S. and what better way than to let pedo tear it down? If my theory is correct, I don't think anyone thought it through.
