(1,801 posts)Last year, I get up at 5:30 am I was getting 3-5Mbps!
These last three days 4k. By noon it's dead.
It's not 4G or 5G, it's network.

(5,002 posts)If so contact your service provider. Could be a piece of hardware between you and the main internet that has started to fail.
I had a similar issue and the service tech corrected it for free because it was the provider's hardware that was failing, not mine.

(65,724 posts)When we lost power (and cable internet) we used my phone as a hotspot and were able to stream video just fine.
Dont know why your service is so slow. It should be much faster.

and thanks to all of you who left so many recs.
I found my answer on Google, I just had to wait five minutes for it!
Why is 5G so slow on T-Mobile?
AI Overview
T-Mobile 5G speeds can be slow due to
network congestion, weak signals, or being deprioritized on older/lower-tier plans. Common causes include high traffic during peak hours, distance from towers, physical obstructions (walls/buildings), and "Non-Standalone" mode, where devices switch between 4G and 5G.

(102,416 posts)It looks like some google stuff is down right now along with some provider connections.
Also. it's bee really hot in a lot of the country and some hardware may be having issues due to heat..?
I find that rebooting my modem helps sometimes, if you don't shut down your device often, might want to try that too. I shut mine down whenever I am done with my computer activities.
Just some things you might check.

(22 posts)I have T Mobile and its super fast but every once in a while I notice speed slowdowns loading pages. I check my network settings (win 11) and come to find out my connection will randomly switch to 2.4 from 5. Happens more than you think because windows will restart your computer in the middle of the night for automatic upgrades if you don't have that disabled. If your computer is a few rooms away from your modem you might reboot at 2.4. Worth a check anyway.
