Bessent strokes off to the mystical magical delights of Trump''s masterful Machiavellian 3-D chess game in Iran

2. Generally, one can tell Bessent isn't a dumb guy. Maybe not as smart as he thinks he is, but not dumb.

That really makes his pathetic obsequiousness all the more galling, knowing that the guy knows better. Honestly, I think JD Vance is in the same category. Ambitious, yet craven sacks of shit, willing to destroy their reputations on behalf of a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist, who clearly attempted a coup against the United States of America on Jan 6, 2021.

A POX on all the Scott Bessents of the world, reasonably intelligent people who are swinging from IQ47's nutsack even though they damn well know better. The Markwayne Mullins and Ron Johnson's and Tommy Tubervilles and Greg Bovinos of the world are one thing, legitimate knuckle-dragging dipshits, but there's a special place in hell for people like Bessent and Vance.

9. Totally agree about Bessent, and it surprises me that he allows himself to be used this way.

Apparently he’s willing to do anything and say anything even though he knows better. I think he’s the type that thinks that he can’t resign because whoever else takes he job would do the same things but worse.

I think Bessent is capable and could be successful under different leadership. Obama could keep a lid on him and Bessent would do a job that he’s proud of. Instead he chose to be a soulless and spineless sellout for Trump. Maybe the bigger lessen is that this is what happens when you align yourself professionally either the Republican Party

5. What part about Iran suddenly having more money to buy bombs doesn't he get?

It boggles the mind these once normal people are suddenly so enthralled with Dear Leader they will debase themselves on camera and destroy their reputations here and abroad. What the hell is in it for them? Is there a crazy virus they're keeping under wraps?

That I can’t believe that even they would do it.

The one thing that we do know is that the Military leaders, the Military EXPERTS, have been seated at the kids' table in Trumpland, where they are expected to be SEEN and NOT heard.

This is all Three Stooges testosterone from Hegseth, Miller, and their ilk, revving up Grampy as he plays his video war games and pounds down Big Macs and fries.

6. They are going to "block accounts" in Japan and South Korea for purchasing unsanctioned oil?
Sun Mar 22, 2026, 10:57 AM

I want to see that happen. And now that everyone knows their idiotic plan, it won’t happen anyway.

These guys aren’t masters at 3D chess. They have no values except profit. So if they can keep prices slightly artificially lower they can delay uprisings at home and abroad. But 140 million barrels that were already sold won’t make much of a difference in oil prices. What it will do according to their past statements is “fund terrorism”. It’s pathetic and weak.
