He's a political campaign tactician.
He has no more geopoltical expertise than anybody here at DU.
But, we have a lot of folks here a lot smarter than him.

The Obama deal (the JCPOA) was in cooperation with the entire UN Security Council (those with veto votes,) plus Germany and the EU. Donald blew that up nearly a decade ago. It was one of my answers whenever a MAGA would ask "What was so bad about his first term?"

He routinely reneges on agreements. When he changes his mind, he just says it was a bad deal and he tears it up.

He is untrustworthy!

But Iran will probably take it to have some time to regroup and preserve their power structure. No freedom for the people but that was never Trump’s goal.
