I have to be up at 3am for work. So bed early. Wifey sadly has taken to watching Fox News Lite (aka NewsNation) for Cuomo and somehow tolerates the others (ex Fox News "hosts" ) being on (probably cos she's actually asleep by the time Cuomo is finished). Heard about the “black people aren’t monkeys sign”. Who was the girl that Trump said her teachers were trying to turn her trans and when Trump had her family stand up she clapped with her two fingers. She wasn't taken away, she willingly ran away from home to escape them because they denied her care and probably worse.

And, that's a private family matter. I'm sure the girl would have preferred to maintain her privacy like most teenagers but her parents obviously liked basking in the MAGA glow.

Her father gave her a dirty look. It was obviously all staged. She should have yelled out "what are you going to do? Beat me like you do at home?". Her parents wanted her to lie. So even if her lie wasn't true, neither was their BS for Trump.

And there was a guy standing next to her father who was also scowling at her. Was that their lying pastor?

…. whose bones were discovered in a cave in S. Africa in 2013. They were about half the size of us
but had complex behaviors such as burying their dead. The cave had a very small opening so the
paleontologist had to hire women who were small enough, were brave enough to crawl down and then
climb back up a very tight opening to the burial chamber, and they had to know science along with
how to excavate the bones too.

Just the thought of crawling into that cave gave me chills.

I know he's a liar and a thief. I wouldn't let someone like that in my house and if I were on the street and saw him approaching, I'd cross to the other side. He isn't part of my real life. Explanation

I come to DU for support and read how others like me are processing this coup.

I have accepted that we are now in survival mode as fascism has taken over. I have ZERO expectations that any politicians can stop this, Republican voters are content because they simply are filled with hate and anger. They don’t care about the rape, cruelty lies and the consequences to the economy or our diplomatic and security relationships.

I expect this country to become worse.

I’ll continue to organize, rally, vote, donate, and be VERY active as I have been. Find your tribe and resist!

I wish she wouldn’t know watched it and I wish none of our legislators attended. I can’t imagine how much it hurts their hearts. They just got used and it makes me sad for them and for the whole country because that footage will be used against us and didn’t have to happen.

I think we’re under value generally how incredibly valiant courageous and brilliant so many of our legislators are. I’m worried for them. And of course for us.
