OMG!!! Petulant!!!! The horrors!! Excuse me while I clutch my pearls and swoon onto my fainting couch.
So trump will lie about everything, including his record and the economy and insult and lie about Dems. But if Dems are "petulant", well, that's just a bridge too far.
Again, that's why they should not attend. No matter they do they will be blamed. Might as well have some spine and do a full boycott.

(24,607 posts)I think. Name might be spelled wrong. She's a blonde lady who is on both CNN and MSNOW and has been for many years. Usually she is better than this.

Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith, who fancies himself as a political commentator, was talking about "petulant":

(4,064 posts)These people are going to dominate any future elections. On something like this, we need to ask ourselves, is this advancing our prospects for the future, or is it entertainment or making ourselves feel good.

(3,055 posts)our party is going to have to come to the realization that it is not just our own party members that we have to be attractive to. The outrage and reaction to Trumps stupidity will only go so far, especially since we aren't even running against him next time around.
If a voters asks us what we have to offer, do you think not being Trump will be convincing enough to gain their vote?
How many Democrats have we seen actually discussing our policy and direction? We aren't going to get this message out through normal outlets anymore, the media is working against us. We have to start making noise about policy and let go of the rage show. The Presidency isn't enough, we need both houses across all states and it's time we start working on delivering answers that other people want to hear as well.

(19,527 posts)demand high fees from Democrats for advice and even higher fees from behind-the-scenes Republicans to make sure that advice is really bad.
It's not like Republicans have ever shown decorum or anything BUT petulance when they aren't in charge.

(38,481 posts)EVERY Dem must boycott, or those who do will be "petulant". Every Dem will not boycott. Fetterman exists.
ANY interruptions/interjections ( i.e. "You Lie!" ) will be "petulant" and will be met with GQP chants of "USA USA USA". If you don't think they've gamed out a response to Dem heckling, you haven't been paying attention - they're waiting for it.
A circus benefits MFer. He wants a spectacle. He wants Dems to look petty and small and suffering TDS and Hating America.
Decorum is always expected of Dems more than Repukes - we're the Mommy Party.
Absolute stoic silence no matter the applause line or the insult/provocation is the best option.
Then they'll say we were "sulky".
