What do you all think. The cadence and word choice is exactly like Trump. It's either him or an impersonator.

(57,690 posts)It's a short audio.
I think it was an impersonator, it was funny either way.

(54,703 posts)He's a very good impersonator, but not enough raspiness in the voice, and too quick with words.

(10,268 posts)I believe John Barron was a fake name Trump used in the past to fluff himself up.

(52,779 posts)That's definitely his voice and his style of speaking, plus John Barron is a fake name he's used before.
I didn't realize he'd used the name before.

(52,779 posts)He used to call different media pretending to be a spokesperson for Trump, but everyone knew it was Donald. Such a weird man.

(20,546 posts)And don't think it's him. Probably AI or impersonator.

(57,690 posts)He's done it before. But yeah, it could be an impersonator.

(20,546 posts)But John Barron Mk. 1 was before AI and voice changers. Many, many people know about this and I think trump is too gaga to remember what he did thirty years ago.

(57,690 posts)Trump was in the Governors' meeting at the time.

@cspan
Because so many of you are talking about Fridays C-SPAN caller who identified himself as John Barron, we want to put this to rest: it was not the president. The call came from a central Virginia phone number and came while the president was in a widely covered, in-person White-House meeting with the governors. Tune into C-SPAN for the actual president at the State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.
