What the Democratic Party must say going into the midterms - "America is toast if the magas win again."

We have to stop pussyfooting around and being polite. We've seen what a year has done and what a ragged mess this country is in. We can't last another two years. So start saying that. Everyone.

Too abstract and not a winning message IMO. Even after one year of hell, life for a lot of people hasn’t changed in any meaningful way yet.

Maybe re-jigger it to “America can’t afford Trump’s tariffs” or something.

It's a hard sell. On the other hand, Obama ran on yes we can and the audacity of hope and the fierce urgency of now. Bill Clinton on the man from Hope and turning around the economy. We need to clearly establish for the public who we are and what positive things we stand for and we want to bring. Trump has been successful running on making America great again because even though he doesn't care about anyone but himself, he gave lip service to returning to a time that was better for a large group of people (white people, more men than women). We need to sell to the American public that we're looking to make the country better for everyone who isn't absurdly wealthy.

They want someone to excite them , good or bad. They are not into messages they are into feels. Whether we like it or not this is a personality contest.

Of "Those people took YOUR America away".

It's a concept of " collective power". That's why the banshees continue to scream.

My message?

"Those people don't want you in America anymore. They never have, they never will. So vote for your survival over theirs."

It's about fear driven emotional that indicates - We aren't coming together and going back to 1877. Magapub Voters. You Don't Matter Anymore.

That's just me. I don't care about those people, their farm, their mafia, or their fake ChristoFascist Religion.

People weren't afraid enough or they wouldn't have sat their stupid asses at home or vote 3rd party in a red with a touch of blue state.

This is The Democratic Underground. We need to be hyper vigilant about what kind of party we want to be.

One that punishes Magapub voters and demonizes them by everyone else works for me. I've finally been polled. First time since 2007. I stated I was disappointed then chose other reason. Other, we aren't punitive and abrasive to our domestic enemies.

Consider that your prescription may not be the best medicine for all of them.
