It is time to end the Trump Regime

It is time for Republicans to either help America or get out of the way. There is no more that we need to see from this regime. They have shown everyone who they are and what they stand for. Even the polls tell us that the people do not want what the dictator and the Republicans are selling.

There is nothing more to defend. Every excuse and defense has been exhausted. It is time to stand up and make the change that everyone knows is needed.

It is time for Trump and his criminal regime to end. No more lies. No more cruelty. No more corruption. No more murders. No more thuggery. No more breaking the laws. It is time for a change.

The debate is over. It is decision time for America. We cannot wait until the next election.

The time is now.

True.

Unfortunately, the mechanics of American governance don’t afford the people the means by which to end the fascist Trump regime.

The impeachment process is dead the consequence of Senate Republicans’ refusal to convict a sitting president, although voting to convict was perfectly appropriate and warranted for all three presidential impeachments that went to the Senate for trial.

The judicial process is hopelessly corrupted by a Supreme Court dominated by conservative ideologues who have codified unitary executive dogma and placed presidents above the law.

And the process to amend the Constitution that might restore and strengthen the country’s legal guardrails is pointless as any such proposed amendments would be opposed by Congressional Republicans and Republican controlled states.

The President is unable to serve. The Vice President immediately takes over.

Then, if the President objects - the send their own declaration to Congress.

The Congress then has 48 hours to each get a 2/3rds Majority in both houses to confirm the 25th Amendment's actions.

If not the President immediately resumes their office/duties.

I never knew the whole process, now I do.

Years and years. I just want enough Republicans to come to their senses to try and save our country before the next election, which may or may not happen? I think Trump and the regime are at a weak moment. They are like cornered rats.

Only 6 Republicans were needed to convict, which is why Nixon resigned. Today there are 47 Democrats -- it would take 20 republicans to convict.
And what about Vance? You think he's going to be forced out too? And are you okay with President Mike Johnson?

Comparisons to the Nixon impeachment and resignation are inapposite in the extreme.
