Correct me if I'm wrong, but our record with regime change kind of sucks...

trump's desire to oust Maduro makes me think of the other times we "ousted" some 3d world leader and ended up with someone worse.

"kind of sucks" is a tremendous understatement of how bad our record with regime change is.

Most often it depends on whether the person making the determination is a decent person, or a fascist/oligarch type

Maduro is a pretty damn bad actor overall tho so I'd not be sad to see him out of power in the slightest. Which is not the same as saying the US should involve itself militarily to make that happen, to be clear.
