Hadn't heard this before, from wikipedia
Maria Farmer, an artist who worked for Epstein in 1996, noted that Epstein showed her a media room in the New York mansion where there were people monitoring the pinhole cameras throughout the house. The media room was accessed through a hidden door. She stated that in the media room "there were men sitting here. And I looked on the cameras, and I saw toilet, toilet, bed, bed, toilet, bed." She added that "It was very obvious that they were, like, monitoring private moments."[121]
not just cameras, but multiple people manning them

(8,251 posts)belief that Epstein was working for Israeli intelligence.
From Google's AI Overview:
While there is no definitive proof that Jeffrey Epstein was a formal agent for the Mossad (Israel's intelligence agency), recent investigative reporting based on leaked emails and documents has revealed extensive ties and a working relationship with Israeli intelligence officials.
Key findings from investigative reporting, primarily by the outlet Drop Site News, which used emails from former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and documents from the U.S. House Oversight Committee, indicate that Epstein:
-Acted as a "fixer" and "dealmaker" at an elite level, leveraging his network to advance Israeli foreign policy goals.
-Helped broker official security agreements between Israel and other countries, including Mongolia and Côte d'Ivoire, which involved the sale of Israeli military and surveillance technology.
-Established a covert backchannel between Israel and Russia during the Syrian Civil War, aiming to facilitate the removal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a key Israeli national security priority.
-Hosted a senior Israeli intelligence officer, Yoni Koren, who was also Barak's aide, at his Manhattan apartment for extended periods between 2013 and 2015.
Despite this evidence of a functional relationship, some sources argue that Epstein was not a formal agent, but rather an "asset" working to advance Israeli interests. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has categorically denied the claims that Epstein worked for the Mossad, calling the accusation a lie.
The U.S. Department of Justice and FBI have stated that there is no credible evidence in their files to support the existence of a "client list" or that Epstein was an intelligence asset. This has led to a split in media coverage, with corporate media outlets often dismissing the claims as conspiracy theories, while independent media have published detailed investigations into the connections.

(2,334 posts)Not some cheap knockoff, but rather, the quality of ID one only gets from a high level. There was also Acosta's comment at one point where he claimed he was told Epstein was "intelligence" and that was part of why he sorta backed off. Maybe that's just CYA kinda shit, a distraction, but in totality, considering everything, I'm not so sure. And why would ANY information about this case, as we the public have been led to understand it, possibly be considered "classified"? Yet we've pretty much been told that some of it is.
I think it's at least worth considering that the reality of the whole thing might be quite different than what we think we know

(455 posts)The British Foreign Office suspected Maxwell of being a secret agent of a foreign government, possibly a double agent or a triple agent, and "a thoroughly bad character and almost certainly financed by Russia". He had known links to the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), to the Soviet KGB, and to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.[60]

(16,154 posts)Totally inappropriate use of access for classified data. However fancy the cryptography is, without trust Whats the point
I dont trust these creeps to be professional anymore. The system of trust only works when our elected officials and the adults in society earn it adequately. We have to keep them in line when they dont.
And I get why the last few years have been so confusing. It is creepy peopel like these pretending to be legitimately anti establishment. These are morons who attack Dr Fauci and see Holmes and Maxwell as people to rehabilitate:

That Kraus woman is a nightmare. And weirdly in a spat with that neo-Nazi supporter Candace Owens:
https://www.vanityfair.com/style/story/candace-owens-jessica-reed-kraus-maga-spat
Ie rather than seeing Dr Fauci as an overworked public official of the best kind working within the constraints of this shitty society, they see these parasites like Holmes and Maxwell as complex anti-establishment figures.
I mean yeah molesting underage people or scamming ..those are not the areas of conformity, but thats sort of not where you start when being non conformist dammit.
I should remember to tape over my phones cameras constantly. I forget after taking pictures of my cats or garden to tape over it again.

(7,641 posts)were valuable. Separate room, one way window, unobtrusive mikes, etc. Often it involved creation of new products or services, marketing ideas, etc. Nothing weird. The point is that more people than just the sponsor of that specific focus group would have likely paid money to see those tapes to understand their competition. I can only imagine what/who would have found these Epstein tapes to be useful and for what reasons.

(22,338 posts)Newly released emails show the late convicted sex offenders extensive network of foreign contacts, whom he corresponded with about Trumps policy decisions.

Nearly a month before President Donald Trump met Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Helsinki in 2018, Jeffrey Epstein attempted to pass a message to Russias top diplomat: If you want to understand Trump, talk to me.
I think you might suggest to putin that lavrov can get insight on talking to me, Epstein wrote in a June 24, 2018, email to Thorbjorn Jagland, a former prime minister of Norway who was leading the Council of Europe at the time of the exchange. Lavrov was an apparent reference to Sergei Lavrov, Russias longtime foreign minister.
In the email exchange, one of hundreds released Wednesday by congressional investigators, Epstein indicated he had previously talked about Trump with Vitaly Churkin, Russias forceful ambassador to the United Nations, before Churkin died in 2017.
Churkin was great, Epstein, the late convicted sex offender, wrote. He understood trump after our conversations. it is not complex. he must be seen to get something its that simple.

So he was either...
-being funded by a foreign intelligence office
or
- blackmailing his clients
Either one could explain the camera setup. But the second would take time to build while the first could be funded from day 1

(455 posts)Ok, Acosta isn't exactly a pristine source of info obviously...
But read Epstein's wiki, he himself was claiming to be an agent decades ago.
